Spirulina is a type of blue-green algae that grows in both salt and fresh water. It is considered to be one of the richest sources of protein, vitamins and minerals. In fact, gram for gram, Spirulina is widely considered to be the most nutritious food on this planet and has in the last two decades, found itself in the list of nutrition supplements world over.
Today, on my morning walk, I spotted this poster on Green Chikki. My interest was aroused and I gathered that this Spirulina added Chikki was made by a Mysuru unit under license from Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru. I promptly bought it and it did taste good! And if it has anti Covid properties, there is more reason than one to feast on this!!
